The annual Independence Celebration in the Town of Mount Pleasant kicks off the celebration of 250 years of American Independence.  The Event is held the fourth Saturday in June (Saturday, June 27, 2026) from 5pm - 10 pm.  Parade starts at 5 pm on Main Street, and the celebration continues following the parade at Town Hall (8590 Park Drive) with "A Taste of Mount Pleasant," which showcases the local restuarants; music starts at 6 pm with a DJ and a band at 7 pm; and a spectacular fireworks show starting at 10 pm.
