The annual Independence Celebration in the Town of Mount Pleasant kicks off the celebration of American independence.  Event is held the fourth Saturday in June from 5pm - 10 pm.  Parade starts at 5 pm on Main Street, and the celebration continues following the parade at Town Hall (8590 Park Drive) with "A Taste of Mount Pleasant," which showcases the town's local restuarants; music starts at 6 pm with a DJ and a band at 7 pm; and a spectacular fireworks show starting at 10 pm.
