UPDATE:  State of Emergency ended on January 27, 2026 at noon.

Mayor Lapish signed a Municipal Concurrence to Cabarrus County Declaration of a State of Emergency effective January 24, 206 at 6:00pm.  The Declaration of a State of Emergency is a result of the potential impacts from a winter storm event as outlined in the declaration to allow Cabarrus County to enact any and all  povisions of the declaration for the immediate safety and welfare of the citizens within the corporate limits of the Town of Mount Pleasant.
